Trick for Trick.

1. What were J&R doing  on the playroom floor? Setting up their Railway set.
2. What did Julie say? "" After we have put all the rails out, We'll put up the station and then the tunnel".
3. What reply did Robert give? Finally we can put the engine with  the carriages and get it going".
4. Why did Julie give a cry? Because it was only five minutes to their bed time.
5. Why did Robert frown? He did not want to go to bed because they were in the middle of something exciting.
6. What happened  the day before? they had to go to bed before they finished painting pictures.
7. Why did Julie say the clock was silly? because it went fast.
8. What did Robert do when he knew mother was busy cleaning the cup-boards? He went near the clock and turned the hands to quarter past Eight, so they had  another hour to play.
9. Was Julie happy to do that? No
10. Why couldn't the mother know about this trick? because her watch glass was broken and was not there on her wrist.
11. What did mother think?The watch had stopped working.
12. Did mother allow them to play? yes.
13. What was not the nice thing to do? playing a trick on their mother.
14. What happened next morning? The clock rightly said 8 o"clock.
15. What was the time in the clock when mother asked them to go to bed? it was half past nine.9.30
16. Why were they sad? they had to leave their play and go to bed.
17. How many times did the church clock strike? Only 9 times and telling it was 9 o'clock.
18. What was the time in the clock then? 10 o'clock.
19. What did their mother say?"Yesterday you went by that , so you both must do the same today also."
20. What did Julie say to her mother?  that they turned the clock to have one more hour to play and they both ask excuse told sorry to their mother.
21. What did her mother say? " It was very wrong. Now the clock has tricked you.It's an hour before its time instead of an hour after"I have played the same trick you have played on me."
22. What did Julie and Robert say to their mother?" We are glad that you played the same trick on us."" We will never do it again."
